چکیده

Abstract Biochar is a promising carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technology for climate change mitigation. Current procedures its determination are lengthy, labor-intensive, and difficult to conduct. Benzene polycarboxylic acids (BPCA) the most molecular markers identification quantification of biochar quality as they specifically represent stable polyaromatic backbone biochar. Therefore, using BPCA method, stability and, thus, C sequestration potential could be used CDR accounting. The current method relies on specific high-pressure digestion apparatus, which not available around world. aims present work were (i) compare conventional nitric acid oxidation with microwave-assisted technique optimize conditions in such way that previous results comparable future ones, (ii) significantly reduce time soil samples 8 h develop suitable routine produces reproducible results. For this purpose, control sample series prepared different temperature–time-program. Obtained compared values both individual whole dataset separately. To ensure representativeness results, addition various properties, we included two reference materials into our data set, one without (wheat flour) sample. Characterization, Quantification and Compound-specific Isotopic Analysis of Pyrogenic Carbon Using Benzene Polycarboxylic Acids (BPCA)

Fire-derived, pyrogenic carbon (PyC), sometimes called black carbon (BC), is the carbonaceous solid residue of biomass and fossil fuel combustion, such as char and soot. PyC is ubiquitous in the environment due to its long persistence, and its abundance might even increase with the projected increase in global wildfire activity and the continued burning of fossil fuel. PyC is also increasingly ...

Microwave assisted ignition to achieve combustion synthesis

The use of microwave heating to initiate combustion synthesis has been increasingly investigated in recent years because of its advantages over traditional methods. A simple mathematical model is used to model these experiments. The microwave power absorption term is modelled as the product of an Arrhenius reaction term with a function that decays exponentially with distance. The former represe...

Microwave-Assisted Solution Combustion Synthesis of WO3 Nanoparticles: Optical and Colorimetric Characteristics

Tungsten oxide (WO3) and tungsten oxide hydrate (WO3.H2O) nanoparticles were synthesized via microwave-assisted solution combustion in comparison with the acidic precipitation method. Oxalic acid was used as a surfactant and forming agent in the acidic precipitation method. In addition to oxalic acid, glycine and citric acid were also used as fuels in the microw...

Modeling and Simulation a Catalytic Fixed Bed Reactor to Produce Ethyl Benzene from Ethanol

Ethyl benzene used increasingly each year is the raw material of producing styrene monomer. This substanceis produced from benzene alkylation with ethylene or ethanol, depending on the availability and cost of rawmaterials. In this study benzene alkylation in the presence of ethanol in a catalytic fixed bed reactor inthree states of isotherm, adiabatic and non-isotherm-non-adiabatic is mathemat...

Sequential ultrasound-microwave assisted extraction as a green method to extract essential oil from Zataria multiflora

Sequential ultrasound-microwave associated extraction (SUMAE) is a combination of ultrasound waves and microwaves energies in which ultrasonic extraction is used as a pretreatment. It was performed to extract essential oil from Zataria multiflora. The extraction conditions were optimized by response surface methodology (RSM) and Central Composite Design (CCD). The antioxidant and antibacterial ...
